MXGPU

MXGPU, the collaborative project by Luís Clara Gomes and Guilherme Tomé Ribeiro, presented a one-of-a-kind performance and pop-up installation at MAAT in Lisbon. Building on the visual design developed by Paleta Itinerante in 2024, the goal was to reimagine and adapt the concept to the museum’s unique architecture, creating an even more immersive 360º experience.

Paleta designed a fully surround light plot featuring flown truss structures, an array of lighting fixtures, and two high-powered lasers. The technical execution was carried out in collaboration with Audiometrix, under the supervision of Sebastião Pinto (lighting and lasers) and Hugo Valverde (sound).

With just one month of preparation, the installation was completed with a one-day setup on March 21 and presented in two sessions on March 22. The result was an intense, multi-sensory show that transformed the MAAT into a pulsing audiovisual environment, bringing MXGPU’s sonic and visual universe to life.
