EFTERKLANG 2025

For the Portuguese leg of their 2025 tour, Danish band EFTERKLANG invited Sebastião Pinto to design and operate the lighting for their concerts in Espinho. The aim was to create a dreamy, atmospheric environment that complemented the band’s signature aesthetic and highlighted a special collaboration with a local children’s choir, featured in two songs.

Working within the spatial constraints of the venue, Sebastião developed a minimalistic yet expressive light plot. A key element was a video projector placed in a road case at the back of the stage, used as a backlight aimed toward the audience. Combined with haze, it created rich textures in the air, adding depth and movement to the performance.

Executed in just two weeks, the project culminated in two intimate and visually compelling shows on April 5 and 6. The design struck a balance between simplicity and impact, enhancing both the band’s performance and the emotional resonance of the choir’s moments.
